This sculptural vase was inspired by upbringing in the Sonoran Desert.  I think Saguaros are the mightiest of plants.  They have an accordion shaped body that shrinks and expands based on the basin of water it can hold inside after a monsoon. Every once and a while you'll be lucky enough to spot a Crested Saguaro, where the ribs grow in psychedelic patterns rather than straight up and down.
